It was mentioned earlier but Hylics is also great, highly recommend it just for how unique the game is, and its going for only about $1.50, Suits is worth checking out as well and it's less that 50¢, there's no reason not to I'd recommend rebinding Throw Weapon from middle click to F if you get it though. It's also around $3 I believe and completely worth it. The closest comparison I can find to any other game would probably be Rogue Legacy, but I feel that IR removes every issue I had with RL's design, as progress doesn't feel grindy and is more based around upgrades during a run through scroll collecting for attributes like running faster when low on health, sometimes launching a homing pheonix on hit, and other things rather than meager stat improvements. Immortal Redneck is a surprisingly fun roguelite fps where you go through pyramids made up of premade rooms arranged in random configurations. It uses its choice of enemies well with some really cool ideas like zombies with their heads placed somewhere away from their bodies so they have a better view of the area or to cover more ground, or zombie heads being hung from ceilings to alert others to you. It's like $2.50 compared to its usual $15 so I'd consider it worth looking into at leastĭeadbolt is a stealth game where you play as a reaper taking down various organizations of monsters like zombies and vampires.

Also it's cute and has robots so that's a massive plus. It has no meta-progression beyond unlocks and the ability to carry unused skill points from run to run which is great.

Heart and Slash is a fairly simple Hack & Slash roguelite that mostly makes up for its simple combat with the sheer variety of weapons and accessories available.
